Not only do these names represent some of the best and brightest minds in basketball today, they are also a small sampling of coaches who once roamed the sidelines at a LuHi Summer Basketball School.

Our programs are teaching programs that emphasize fundamental instruction, individual improvement and team concepts. A program for beginners to varsity players, the LuHi Boys Basketball School has been the backbone of all LuHi Summer Programs for 49 years. Players are grouped by age and ability. Teaching stations are given twice a day with emphasis on skill development, building confidence, teamwork, and good sportsmanship.


The Advantages

An outstanding staff of experienced coaches, first-class indoor and outdoor facilities, three full indoor courts plus the air-conditioned Ammerman Center, 19 full outdoor courts, instruction in the skills and fundamentals important to all levels of play, a daily schedule that allows evenings for summer leagues and family, a compact schedule with no wasted time, league competition every day, two games per day minimum.

Age Level

Boys entering grades 4 through 12.

Tuition
$975 per session. Each boy will receive a Rock basketball. Lunch is available for an additional $60 per session. .

Director, Shannon Clancy.
Coach Clancy takes over the Boys Basketball School after serving as Assistant Director for the past 5 summers. In his young coaching career, Coach Clancy has been an integral part of the player development behind 4 league titles, 3 NYSAIS Independent School State Championships, and the 2009 New York State Federation Class A State Champions at LuHi.

Assistant Director, John Buck.
Coach Buck steps into the role of Assistant Director after serving as a League Commissioner for the past 3 years. After playing four years at Wake Forest University, Coach Buck returned to LuHi to become an assistant varsity coach, where he would help LuHi capture three straight NYSAIS Independent School State Championships, as well as last year’s New York State Federation Class A State title. He is currently in his first year as the Head Varsity Basketball Coach at Long Island Lutheran High School.
