    Competitive Swimming
At the Eisenhower Park Aquatic Center
This is an instructional competitive program for athletes that place an emphasis on refining the techniques and strokes of competitive swimmers. Note: This is NOT a Learn-to-Swim Camp. Athletes should be able to swim two lengths of a 25-yard pool and have some formal swim instruction.

Swimmers will be placed into three different groups based on their swim ability and age. The daily schedule will include rotating 40-minute stations emphasizing stroke-of-the-day, pull and breathing drills, kick and timing drills, and lecture or presentation on stroke techniques, stretching, nutrition, land exercises, goal setting, starts, and turns.

This program will be technique oriented with instruction relating to each of the four competitive strokes. Swimmers will also be given an opportunity to train one session each day to condition for the upcoming season.
