Counselor In Training
(C.I.T.)
The LuHi CIT Program is specifically
designed to train students as summer program counselors. Students
approved for enrollment in the program will attend a daily instructional
class, receive certification in CPR, and be assigned to various programs
for training and observation. Enrollment is limited to 25 students per
session. Acceptance to the program is based on previous performance in
this program, recommendations submitted from a Junior or Senior High
School teacher and/or school administrator, and a personal
recommendation from a non-relative. An interview on the LuHi campus may
also be required.
Age Level
Girls and boys ages 14 and 15.
Tuition
$775 per session. Includes CPR training, lunch, and Certificate of
Completion.

Daniel Wenger.
Mr. Wenger has been a member of the LuHi Summer program staff for over
twenty years. In that time he has served in a wide variety of positions.
Because of his well rounded extensive experience Mr. Wenger is an
excellent mentor for young people seeking to train as summer counselors.
During the school year Mr. Wenger is a highly respected teacher as well
as chairman of the Science Department at Long Island Lutheran High
School.
