    Fishing
Designed for the child who enjoys fishing and being on the water, this program is the first of its kind in the Long Island area. The purpose of the Fishing School is to expose children to experiences which will broaden their understanding in three key areas: fishing, boating, and environmental conservation. Under the direction of Mr. Reynolds and an outstanding staff, the following topics will be covered: rod building techniques, casting instruction, environmental conservation, knot tying, catch and release techniques, fish specific strategies, boating safety, reel maintenance, and life on the water.

Age Level
Boys and girls entering grades 5 through 9.

Tuition
$1,175 per session. Lunch is available for an additional $50.

Program Director, Brian Reynolds.
Mr. Reynolds is a teacher in the Huntington School District. He holds a U. S. Power Squadron Boating Safety Certificate and has been fishing the Long Island waters for over 25 years. He is an outstanding educator and avid outdoorsman with over 20 years of experience in teaching and working with young people.

Program Features
Fishing excursions on U.S. Coast Guard certified party boats (weather & tide permitting), two fishing trips to a local lake, fishing instruction from local area experts, equipment provided by LuHi Summer Programs, daily recreational activities, and a lunchtime swim.
