Rookie School
The Rookie School is designed specifically for young athletes who love
playing sports. Young players are introduced to the key fundamental
skills in a variety of team sports including baseball, basketball,
football, soccer, floor hockey, lacrosse, and team handball; and
individual sports, including golf and tennis. Emphasis is placed on
having fun, developing team camaraderie, learning the rules, learning to
be coached, and improving motor skills and hand-eye coordination. Skills
are taught in drills, game situations, and games. Team play, friendly
competition, and respect for the rules and for each other will be
stressed.
Age Level
Boys entering grades 1 through 4.
Tuition
$975 per session. Includes Red Cross Swim Instruction and afternoon
snack. Lunch is available for an additional $60 per session.
Director, Jason D.
Rivera.
Coach Rivera is a 5th Grade teacher
in the Brentwood School District with over 11 years experience. He is
the JV9 Wrestling Coach at Brentwood High School and coaches a variety
of other youth sports. He is entering his 14th year as part of the LuHi
Rookie School Staff. Coach Rivera is an outstanding educator, an
enthusiastic leader, and a wonderful motivator of young children.
