Students will take a tour through many different types of art media ranging from 2-D to 3-D art making. Some techniques that will be explored are painting, printmaking and drawing, as well as ceramics and sculpture. It will be a fun-filled environment in which students can arrive with a little or a lot of knowledge of the visual arts. Projects will be adapted to meet the levels of students. This is a great opportunity to build up a portfolio, learn and improve skills, or just have fun creating. Included will be a day trip to the Nassau County Museum of Art..

Mrs. Spangler has taught art for over 10 years at the middle and high school level. She has taught a wide range of art media including 2-D, 3-D, and Computer Graphics. Her strengths lie in motivating young people to find the artists within themselves while having fun, expressing themselves through different art media, and learning new skills.
